Cobram Barooga Golf Club has two celebrated championship courses set in beautiful surrounds and offers the very best of old and new for golfers at every level of the game.
The original “Old” course, was constructed in 1925 and is the more famous of the two Cobram Barooga layouts. At 6186m, its clever design and narrow tree-lined fairways provide a good test of skill for any player. The course, with many classic holes, is framed by majestic red gums and pines. Time hasn’t left this old favourite behind though, because the newly constructed greens are fast and true, with clever bunkering catching wayward shots hit into the greens.
The new West Course offers wider fairways, larger greens and additional slopes that provide natural framing for tee shots. Slightly longer than the original course at 6287m, the 18-hole layout has gained a strong reputation as the perfect blend of resort and modern links style.
Both the Cobram Barooga Old and West courses have been voted in the Top 100 Courses in Australia. Since 2021 Cobram Barooga Golf Club has also played host to the prestigious TPS Murray River Tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
Tee times on both golf courses are available seven days a week, with golf cart hire, equipment hire and a pro shop fully stocked with all the major brands. With its Murray River location, an abundance of local flora and fauna plus year round great weather, Cobram Barooga Golf Club has something to offer everyone.
